The story of the Lake Illawarra, the Tasman Bridge and the 1975 Disaster. In 1975 the freighter Lake Illawarra struck the Tasman Bridge. The disaster brought not only dealth and destruction to the ship, but cut the city of Hobart in half for almost three years.
